Combine your dinner theater with a river cruise! This four-hour experience features an all-you-can eat feast of ribs, chicken and shrimp on a small private island in the New River. Once dinner concludes, you’re treated to a live variety show. The cost is a little less than $50 for each adult, and a little less than $30 for each child. Seniors get a $2 discount. Located on the grounds of the Seminole Hard Rock Casino, the Fort Lauderdale version of this stand-up comedy room features chicken, spaghetti, tacos and mahi mahi on their main menu. Strictly for adults only, this dinner theater features performers in drag! Your wait staff members also are performers! Shows run six nights a week (Monday is off), and there’s a Sunday brunch performance too. Pasta, chicken, steak, ribs and fish are on the dinner menu. Each evening features a special prix-fix dinner for less than $20. The Sunday brunch comes with all-you-can drink bloody marys and mimosas.
OK, maybe we’re stretching the term “dinner theater.” The Coral Ridge cinema in Fort Lauderdale offers dining options in addition to first-run movies. You can choose to be served at your theater seats, you can upgrade to a “suite,” or you can watch the film in the theater’s bar and grill. Burgers, pizza and such on the menu. The theater usually has 10 movies to choose from.
